Case study
dpcg.club — Dadar Parsee Colony Gymkhana
The project that defines what prathmakes is for: walking into a hundred-year-old Mumbai institution, understanding how a committee-run organisation actually makes decisions, and shipping something real.
dpcg.clubThe problem
DPCG is a century-old community gymkhana in Dadar Parsee Colony. Like most institutions of its kind, it ran entirely offline — events on notice boards, membership by word of mouth, no single place that told its story or served its members. Committees don't buy 'digital transformation'. They buy something specific, working, and respectful of how the institution already operates.
How it happened
This wasn't an inbound brief. I approached the gymkhana directly, put a concrete written proposal in front of the committee, and answered their questions in person. Institutions say yes to specifics — what the site will show, who updates it, what it costs to keep alive — not to portfolios.
What shipped
- dpcg.club — the gymkhana's public website: its history, facilities, events and membership information in one place
- A structure the committee can grow into — events and announcements without a rebuild
- Fast, phone-first pages — most members open it on WhatsApp-forwarded links
Outcome
The site is live and in the gymkhana's hands. Usage numbers and committee feedback will be added here as they come in.
